Silcom is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and corporate governance. As part of this commitment, we encourage our employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns about potential wrongdoing, unethical behaviour, or violations of laws, regulations, or company policies.

    This Whistleblower Policy is designed to provide a mechanism for the confidential and anonymous reporting of such concerns and to protect individuals who report them from retaliation.

    Scope

    This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders of Silcom.

    Reporting Procedure
    Concerns should be reported on the Silcom Whistleblowing website,
    www.silcom.co.za/whistleblowing, and any supportting documentation uploaded. The Executive Committee (EXCO) will be responsible for receiving and handling whistleblowing reports.

    Whistleblowers are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible about the alleged misconduct, including dates, times, locations, individuals involved, and any supporting documentation.

    Whistleblowers have the option to remain anonymous, and their identities will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law.

    Protection Against Retaliation

    Silcom prohibits retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith. Retaliation includes but is not limited to termination, demotion, harassment, discrimination, or any adverse employment action.

    Any employee found to have engaged in retaliation against a whistleblower will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

    Investigation Procedure

    Upon receipt of a whistleblower report, _______________ will promptly initiate an investigation to determine the validity of the concerns raised.

    The investigation will be conducted impartially and confidentially, and all parties involved will be treated with fairness and respect.

    Confidentiality

    Silcom will make every effort to maintain the confidentiality of whistleblower reports and the identities of individuals involved, except as necessary to conduct an investigation or comply with legal requirements.

    False Reports

    Whistleblowers who make false allegations maliciously or knowingly may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

    Compliance

    All employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders are expected to comply with this Whistleblower Policy and cooperate fully with any investigations conducted.
